The Clarity Experience
Most churches and organizations already know what they believe. What they lack is a structured process to surface it, name it, and build a shared direction around it. The Clarity Experience gives them that process in a focused, facilitated engagement led by Dr. Aaron Summers.
Through a series of guided sessions, Aaron walks your congregation or organization through its history, its convictions, and its future direction. Every engagement ends with a professional written report your team can use for years.

Built for Two Audiences
The Clarity Experience is the same core process for both audiences. The sessions, the report structure, and the deliverables are consistent. The pastorless church version adds a layer of transition-specific work that churches between pastors uniquely need.
Churches and Ministries
Any church that wants to clarify its identity, build alignment around its mission, or prepare for a new season of ministry. Healthy churches use it for vision work. Churches navigating change use it to build unity before making major decisions. Pastorless churches use it with the add-on to prepare for a pastoral search.
Organizations and Nonprofits
Any organization that has drifted from its founding purpose, is entering a leadership transition, or needs to build alignment across a team before moving forward. The Heritage and History, Mission and Values, and Beliefs and Convictions sessions translate directly to organizational settings outside the church.
Three Core Sessions
The sessions are designed to build on each other. You cannot know where you are going until you understand where you have been and what you actually believe. The Clarity Experience moves in that sequence intentionally.
The schedule flexes to fit your organization. A church might run Friday evening through Sunday morning. An organization might run across two or three weekdays. Aaron works with you to build a schedule that fits your people.
Heritage and History
Participants place meaningful memories and key events on a shared timeline. Yellow markers identify positive experiences. A different color marks difficult or painful ones. Table groups identify recurring themes, then the whole group names the top positive and negative patterns. The goal is not to build a historical record. It is to help the group see the patterns that have shaped its shared life, so those patterns inform rather than control what comes next.
Mission and Values
This session moves the group from history toward direction. Working from Great Commission and Great Commandment frameworks, participants identify the organization's mandate, articulate its mission, define its method, and establish core values that will govern future decisions. The session produces a Four M's framework: Mandate, Mission, Method, and Measures. This becomes the directional foundation for the written report.
A pastor survey add-on can be administered during or after this session for pastorless churches, giving the congregation a structured way to identify what kind of leadership they need next.
Beliefs and Convictions
Participants identify what is non-negotiable for fellowship or membership, what they believe should remain open to differing convictions, and where the organization needs greater clarity before moving forward. For churches, this session surfaces theological center, Baptist distinctives, and areas of genuine flexibility. For organizations, it identifies core commitments, cultural values, and the principles that should govern how the team works together. This session produces the most practically useful material for leadership decisions going forward.
A dedicated search committee session over lunch walks the committee through the process, the pastoral profile results, and how to use the weekend's findings in the candidate evaluation process.
